Behind the Game
Lavactory is built around a discovery-first design philosophy. The game engine tracks every forging action you perform and cross-references it against hidden recipe tables to assign a quality score. Nothing is shown upfront — the quality rating only materialises once you complete a sequence, rewarding experimentation over memorisation.
The material system governs how each forging action affects the output. A standard iron ingot responds differently to 1200°C heat than a rare blue-tier alloy. The game tracks the thermal state of your workpiece in real time, and applying quench at the wrong heat level will crater your quality score. Mastery means internalising these material behaviours through repeated trial.
Your in-game economy runs on the gold coin currency visible throughout the interface. Selling higher-quality parts yields significantly more coin, and the progression gate — unlocking silver, gold and blue-tier materials at 50, 500, and 1000 coin thresholds respectively — creates a natural difficulty ramp. The collection catalog logs every part you have successfully forged, functioning as both an achievement tracker and recipe reference once unlocked.

What Awaits You
No recipes are handed to you. Lavactory gives you six core forging actions — hit, heat, fold, twist, bend, and quench — and leaves you to figure out the correct sequence for each part. Every wrong combination still teaches you something about how materials behave under stress.
Start with cheap dark-iron bars costing 10 coin and work toward silver (50), gold (500), and rare blue alloys (1000). Each material tier responds differently to the same forging actions, meaning mastered sequences from iron will need to be adapted and re-learned for rarer metals.
Every forged component carries a quality rating from 0 to 5. The six action buttons and the sequence you use them in determine the final score. A perfect hexagonal nut might score Quality +5 and sell for 71 coin; the same part forged in the wrong order could be worth a fraction of that.
Every successfully forged part can be sold immediately for coin. The economy is linear: higher quality equals higher sell price. Use those earnings to unlock the next material tier and expand the range of parts you can attempt to forge.
The collection screen tracks up to 15 parts across a 5x3 grid. Undiscovered parts appear as glowing question marks. Successfully forged items reveal their metallic render — gears, hex nuts, bolts, bowls and more. Completing the full catalog is the long-form challenge at the heart of the game.
The forge reaches 1200°C and a live heat percentage (e.g., 88%) tells you how much thermal energy remains in your workpiece. Cooling metal behaves differently from fresh-from-the-furnace stock, adding a second dimension of complexity on top of action sequencing.
